I just went to Atlanta for a textile trade show called TechTextil which was great for reviewing technology for textile and manufacturing for apparel. It was held Atlanta's new GWCC which is as big as the Jacob Javits Center. Domestic and overseas companies reviewed updated technology which will be a jump into Industry 4.0 for the fashion industry

There’s an in-n-out burger within walking distance of the airport... Not sure what to do with your other 8 hours.
Go to Hermosa Beach pier and walk around or Manhattan Beach...both not too far from LAX & don’t need to get on the freeway either
Go to the lounge and relax!
Agree. Lived in Marina, Hermosa, Redondo for ten years. Go to Shellback, get lit, enjoy the scenery. Nahwhattamean?
In-n-out down the street from LAX
What time of day? Yes, leave
I second SC1’s beach idea, however after 5pm (sunset) is a different matter. Can’t think of anything in that timeframe which is not food/alcohol related, maybe head to LACMA where they have some cool art works on display (lights and such), if that’s your thing
I have some controls you can test
I might uber to Beverly Hills or Santa Monica, check your bag at a hotel, walk around, get a delicious dinner
Go see an early comedy show?
Westchester Golf Club is next to the airport, you can play 18 with rental clubs in 4 hours including an uber back and forth - they have lights so you can play after sunset
This all depends on day and time. You could spend 3.5 hours round trip if you’re wanting to go to Hollywood. Plan well
3pm to 11pm
Either check your bag or find a hotel to check it. You’re not going to want to deal with it are you?
P1 - I will politely pass, but good luck to you
If you have friends in the area hit them up to take you out for the day. I was a similar situation and just chilled w my cousins driving all around LA. He took me to spots that were off the beaten path and we had a great time.
Regardless, I’d second the checked bag thing. It’d be a PIA to deal w anything other than a backpack all day
