I have received offer from Shell and SAP labs is in final stage salary discussion. Shell is offering 6 lacs more than @SAP labs. I have tried to negotiate a lot from SAP but they are not ready. They are putting conditions like give your full commitment to join then only we'll release offer letter. I am currently looking for work life balance with growth. Should I join @SAP considering its a Product based and good WLB and learning? Teck Stack - Java/Micro-services/cloud YOE - 11yrs
Bain & Company Got dinged after a final round AC interview with Bain & Company as an experienced hire with 1 YOE. Currently at $75k base salary and on average work 30-40 hours a week.
Considering $15-25k increase in salary, but double the number of work hours, is it worth reapplying to Bain next year or better to wait to apply until after business school?

It is amazing how much insecurity there is in PA. OP, generally you would have a pretty good idea if you were on the chopping block based on your performance reviews. If you aren't aware of such concerns, I wouldn't worry about it. Maybe you're getting a big raise!
Chances are it'll get rescheduled 3 times before it actually happens, and then you will be disappointed in a super low PBB and raise. Not the year to get excited. But it's pretty standard in the EY schedule, ratings in June and comp in Aug.
I'm not sure, but I think they want to have a discussion regarding compensation. 🙄
Why would compensation discussion ever be a lay off? It should be as what it is
Doubtful, comp discussion are in the middle to end of August
^seriously the insecurity is amazing. That thought about a comp discussion being about getting fired never would have crossed my mind. And why would they wait to fire you. Your probably less chargeable now the going into sept that just doesn't make sense.
If you were getting fired why would they wait two months...
I was fairly certain a partner within the office decides your pay raise. That is likely what it is
Your going to be told your raise and that you're lucky to be getting one bc the firm/region missed revenue targets for the fiscal year. Atleast that's how mine went last year
@OP if you were getting laid off, usually you get a calendar invite from a partner with some generic title such as "Let's Connect"
It's so stupid that the rating/promotion talk is separate from the compensation talk at EY... One of the very few things I miss about PwC
100% a layoff. You should quit before they fire you. These other comments are just EY bots in on the cover up.
If they were laying you off, it would have been communicated during your year end rating discussion
Lol. EY OP.. from what i remember, that is around the time they let people know how much their raise will be when it kicks in after the October deadline. At least in the CBS line anyway.
You are definitely getting fired. You better find another job before your so-called "compensation meeting" 😂
^^^Fake news. You're getting fired.
Wow.. some people are real assholes.
They would never wait that long to fire you if they've already made the decision to do so
Because what else would you call a lay off meeting? You certainly can't call it "lay off meeting"
It could be a career discussion or something I don't know. I wouldn't worry about it OP
