My dilemma… I am an injury adjuster at a carrier experiencing high inventory that’s barely manageable. A competitor offered a higher salary and manageable workload. BUT, I would like to get into underwriting. I applied for UW position w/ a different carrier and they’ve made an offer. It’s lower than my current salary and significantly lower than what I’d make by taking the first offer. Do I take the high salary and stay in claims or go for UW in hopes it will be best in long run?

I work in the mortgage department assisting w mortgage changes , payments etc. I’ve been thinking about becoming a claims adjuster most likely for property damage . Is it worth it ??? I hear a lot of talk about how claims adjusting is a lot of work and very demanding but I think my current position has prepared me for the challenge. I had a job interview for a role that I really want. The hiring manager scheduled me for an interview and did not show up. Emailed me an hour later stating that he got super busy and couldn’t attend, and would like to reschedule. I have been asked to train a new employee, who is also a senior associate, and it’s been three months but just doesn’t seem to understand our work. We do A123 control testing and have assigned him this one area to test and basically own. I asked him to complete xxx test plans so we can begin testing in the New Year and gave him specific instructions for completing the task. Despite this he is showing no progress and Manager is aware. Will his lack of growth affect me promotion wise?

Currently, in accenture. I have had very bad billable hours and not much achievement this fiscal year. I am worried of getting fired, so i applied for another job. Got offered may be 5% above my current pay with 5k bonus, but in lower level at Deloitte. I think working lower level will give me more opportunities to learn as i think i have lot to learn. I made decision based on my gut and accepted the offer. I have not talked to anyone on accenture side yet. What you think?
