Asking for advice: Working at a boutique doing ODD, and have found it not interesting to me due to levels of details. Anyone on the same boat? Would strategy consulting be different? Would product management be interesting?

Not liking details doesn't really suit you for either of those careers, better to do sales

like

Those fields would be different, but it isn't obvious that you would like them more. Why don't you like ODD? What does "levels of details" mean? Is that the only thing you dislike?

Every line of work has its own set of details to handle. A consultant may argue over ehat colors to use on a slide, and a product mansger may argue over what colors the interface buttons should be.

For me, it's that you are in charge of your own career and no one cares about it like you do. Ask for what you want and make your own opportunities. Doing great work is a good first step, but it's not enough to really build the career you want.
