You can always comeback to audit at ease if you want so go for it

I regret. Love audit, it is predictable and easy. Only reason keeps me in FDD is the pay.
Main thing after moving (after 13 years in audit) is the uncertainty on schedule. In audit you can generally plan out your year. In FDD I don’t know what next month is necessarily going to look like.
Yea I would never go back to audit. The work can be a grind like audit but you literally don’t make money. I had two busy seasons and when I wasn’t busy season it was a mad rush to do interim work bc you know you’re not getting a staff during busy season. And audits private co audits would never issue sometimes and just lerk. What a nightmare.
My buddy just finished the fall busy season and said they were forced to use only India as staff who f’d it all up. Honestly not all their fault. They get thrown into some crazy situations with no help.
Anyways take the offer and put your fear of change to bed. Night
Haha sounds all too familiar. I accepted my offer today. Cheers 🍻
Agree to above.

in 5 years I've seen 1 person go back to audit, though a number of people decide FDD isn't for them and go do something else

You can always go back. Might not get another FDD offer.
Don’t regret. Worthwhile move
