Advice plz.
I was given a verbal offer from a firm. The base salary offered was much lower than my min expectation, so they offering a sign on bonus to get me closer. I asked them to see how much closer they can get me to my minimum target. They came back with a slightly higher signing bonus but the base salary didn’t budge. It’s still not my min salary requirement.
This is all over the phone.
They are sending me written offer soon.
Can I still ask for more because the base salary isn't great.

Yes! You can always ask for more!

Your line here is “thanks so much for the offer, I’m really excited about the opportunity but it seems we’re still fairly far apart on compensation, for this role I need to be at x, what can we do to get me closer?”

Thank you! That’s what I’m thinking of doing, I just hope I haven’t shot myself in the foot by negotiating over the phone and then thinking that I’m satisfied

Hey fishes, can someone tell me how the 80c bracket works, i know i can get exempt upto 1.5lakh under it, what i wanna know is does PF comes under it or not? For example if my yearly pf deduction is 20k and VPF is 10k so now will i still be able to show investment of 1.5lakh under 80c apart from PF and VPF or i'll be able to get exemption on only 1.2 lakh( 1.5lakh-30k= 1.2lakh)?

Thank you in advance!!

Wanted to bring out that staff-1's are paid peanuts (3.33L CTC) please don't expect them to slog 12-13 hours. They don't have enough motivation or incentives to work that long. Seniors,AM's and Managers should be more kind and explain the work to them clearly rather than making last minute changes.

I have received 3 offers from 3 companies for PM role in the last week with my preferred company offering the least.
