Anyone have any good audit jokes or one liners?
Just signed the outside employment form in KPMG onboarding system. I actually wanted to start dabbling in creative writing as a potentially monetizable hobby, but I'm guessing this may pose issues.
Definitely interested in the "exception from this policy may be requested if provision of non-professional services doesn't interfere with one's duties of causes conflict of interest" clause, though. Has anyone been able to get one of those before?

You can apply for associate position directly - you might even be eligible for senior associate job depending on type of experience you have.
Internships are for campus recruiting (undergrad and grad) from my understanding - not individuals in the workforce
Two options I can think of are look for any audit associate jobs and try to come in as an experience associate so you don’t take a massive pay cut. You could also look at big 4 internal audit consulting roles which would pay more than audit and fit your experience better
They just suck if you want to get a job not related to internal audit when you’re ready to leave the firm
Big 4 can use staff such as internal audit at client firms to do external audit work under their supervision. Just say you did that on your resume. Another thing talk to the managers and seniors of the big 4 that Audits your company and see if they can put on a referral for you. If hired you probably can't work on the auditvof your old company for a while but they have lots of projects.
Honestly it’s not too late to try and put in a few years at one. Then you will forever have that experience in the future. Best of luck!
