Advice wanted: I think I messed up by not choosing big 4 postgrad.

What’s the best route for me to move into big 4 audit? Seems like the only entry points are the internship pipeline or having many more YOE than I do.

Background:
2+ YOE internal audit at a name recognizable PE firm, but quickly finding out in the job search that everyone wants big 4 experience. Basically trying to go back and do my time there.

Hi, I got an offer letter from Accenture with DOJ 1st of March but my current organization release me on the 4th of march, in that case, what should I need to do as I have already sent a mail to HR to extend my offer letter till 6th of March and she agreed on that. Is it normal for Managers have to take on roles both as a Senior and a Manger at the same time due to shortage in PA. Im at a midtier and a lot of my jobs don’t have Seniors and Partners don’t want to delay these jobs.

Does anyone have any insight into partners retiring early? I am at a point where I need to consider leaving if I am not aiming for partner. I don’t see myself working past my 40s. My partner and I are not big spenders and anticipate have enough to retire comfortably in 40s (obviously a lot can change). I have been assured I will become SM in next year (currently 31 years old).

Does industry have billable hours? At the big 4, we are required to work a certain number of hours each week and if we spend too much time on anything we are questioned on why it took so long. Is that a thing when you go in industry?
