Are you a woman? Or a person of color? Because as someone who is both…. You probably can assume my thoughts….
“I have to accept lower salaries and prove myself”… that’s a losing mentality. Don’t lower your value based on your beliefs about what being a minority in the workforce is. There are so many companies with ID&E programs trying to recruit PoC and women. Go in bold and aspirational
I am at 2 yoe and make more… definitely under valued… I would look around
I’m a little confused, you worked for 11 years as a Senior Director and joined EY as a Senior at 90k? Sounds like you joined at way too low a level (unless you switched industry/skillset completely), I would think you should have joined at LEAST at a sr manager level in consulting, if not director or lateral.
At this point, I would recommend to go back to industry and continue to climb up
To clarify I worked up to Sr. Director…total 11 years exp. 2 years in Sr. Director title.
What’s your COL? That’s a fairly low offer for S3. Life feels different logging on daily when you feel you are terribly underpaid

I am at 90k as S2 LCOL

With 5 YOE
yeah way too low of title. I have 3 yoe in big 4 in MCOL (dallas) and am making 89k. I don’t think public is the place to exit to at 11 yoe, you can make a lot more elsewhere. PM me if you’d like to connect with better recruiters

Is this the most secretly satirical post ever? What was your comp as the director? This has to be like a 50% decrease right lol?
Why did you even take this joke of an offer
Come to deloitte as M
Deloitte thinks they are awesome - but they have failed delivery and issues like any other firm. The arrogance is so annoying - especially in the recruiting process.
You could probably leave for M1 at 150-180K base at another big 4/ACN. Which would be raise from your senior director role
LCOL. I understood I was taking a step back but thought it was offset with fact I was joining Big 4 and was told at time of negotiation that their career structure was different from Marketing/Advertising Agency. Was a slight shift in industry but still serving in a client serving advisory role.
Sorry OP didnt mean to come off snarky, jw if there was a lesson in there to learn, so thanks for being frank and sharing the background. Yes, you can do better. Hit the market stat.
I call BS
If this is a real post then leave ASAP. You’re making less than a fresh undergrad <1 year exp.
