Will be a big stretch. Consultant is two levels below manager at Deloitte so that may handicap you with recruiters. Plus our traditional move is to bring people in at the lower level to give them a chance to acclimate to the firm before promotion. You potentially could negotiate for higher salary/signing bonus but I think managers out for you.
A1, when I was at Deloitte, folks would always be brought in at a level below what they were elsewhere. From what I see, it sounds like this policy still holds.
I’m starting at Deloitte soon as a Manager, with less collective years of experience than OP. It’s doable if you have the right background and experience for the role you’re applying for, and if they need the skillset.
I’d say pretty much no chance at M - as D1 said you’d be asking for a two level jump.
Deloitte folks- isn’t your track analyst -> consultant -> sr C -> manager? Accenture is analyst -> sr analyst -> consultant -> manager. So C at ACN would be equivalent to SC at D, no?
I think with that number of years, M should be attainable
(Assuming OP is C&M not CD&O)
The move is to come in at SC and work for an early promotion to M. Coming in at M will make life much harder on you because you won’t have the network needed to be successful in that role.
A1 - your roles of analyst and senior analyst are only one year each, and analyst at Deloitte is two years. It’s not equivalent.
Lol if I were you I'd rather come in as a C vs SC but come in at a higher base into the SC base. Why get paid less for more responsibility when you can be paid more for less responsibility and be acclimated
^^ it absolutely does not...C at ACN is someone with two years of experience. SC at Deloitte has a minimum of 4.
I say this as someone who was promoted both to C at ACN and SC at Deloitte. I was 1.5 years out of undergrad and knew nothing as a C at ACN. Not so for SC at D.
Agree with G1. Industry experience is really only considered when being brought in as a true M/SM with sales connections
Sounds*
Feels like ACCN screwed me over when they offered me a role at this level and expect me to wait another year for promo...trying to get a sense of my level options at other firms.
Thanks for the input! Rather SC than C
Sunds like my 7 years or industry experience are not much help for the move?🤔
