Hey guys, Since I am working in Deloitte and right now, I am working from home. I want to go Nepal for 2 months and I want to work from there. Do I need to tell my manager or simply I can go there and start my work. Is there any obligation?
Note- I don't want to tell anyone. Since it may backfire sometimes

Hey Fishbowl family - anyone working at EY-Parthenon that would be willing to chat with me about their experiences (with the potential of a referral)? I have total of 5 yoe specifically in Life Sciences and really would like to explore the potential of interviewing for their NY office. I have been able to land interviews/offers from other T2 firms but would really love to network and connect with EYP. EY EY-Parthenon

It does. News outlets are just awful at writing headlines.

Depending on their goal — they may be extremely good at it.
JnJ said it was effective against Delta but news channels have made that confusing as well
The new rise is in unvaxxed people.
"Only 6,587 - or 0.004 per cent - of the 163 million Americans who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 had suffered serious 'breakthrough' infections"

EY3 who cares? We are trying to prevent deaths, not prevent anyone from ever getting sick ever again
This article has me scared

Then you didn’t read it. The very first sentence says:
Pfizer and BioNTech’s Covid-19 vaccine is just 39% effective in Israel where the delta variant is the dominant strain, but still provides strong protection against severe illness and hospitalization, according to a new report from the country’s Health Ministry

I am confused af lol
It’s all good, man. Media headline writers aren’t very good with things like numeracy, proper context, etc haha.
Pfizer is still ~80% effective against delta in preventing symptomatic infections, and over 90% and almost 100% effective in preventing hospitalization and death, respectively. Definitely still worth getting it if you haven’t.
Rising Star
Pfizer reported their vaccine is 80+% effective against the Delta variant (marginally less than the i ritual strain)
This confusion rests solely on the shoulders of the news media and the way things are being reported.
The way I understand some of these reports is that Pfizer is effective but perhaps at less % efficacy (saw many different numbers depending on the report or article). The efficacy drops further for immunocompromised people.
However in cases where vaccinated people catch covid, the good news for them is they will likely have mild to no symptoms. The bad news is that they will viral shed just as much as infected unvaccinated people, putting others at risk and increasing chances of more viral mutations to come. 🤷🏻♀️

What raised my eyebrows was when Gottlieb (former FDA commissioner and Pfizer board member) said J&J appears to be 60% effective against Delta.
It prevents severe illness but you can still be contagious to those around you and if they aren’t vaccinated then well…
