All these layoffs in tech and more broadly. A potentially positive opportunity for consulting since teams will be understaffed and organizations will need to navigate a new environment? Obviously budgets are also being cut but with the flexibility of a leaner payroll I’m wondering how this will net out. Not trying to make light of the situation, genuinely curious what people think

How is it that every company complains they can’t find workers yet 9/10 posts on linked in the last few weeks are all about layoffs? And just taking a look at the jobs in your are…why does every job suck and want to pay you 45k?

Is there a risk of accepting a role with Upstart currently? I seen a 7% layoff recently for hourly employees but I would be salaried. I am well aware it’s a risk in tech overall right now but curious on thoughts thanks!

Throwing this out there. My company was recently acquired and I was laid off yesterday. I’m currently 6m pregnant so looking for a company that isn’t going to have a problem with my giving birth in 3m (looking for a miracle). 13 YOE in Marketing (Brand, Digital, Product, Ops). You name it, I’ve probably done it. Team management exp but not required in next role. Just looking for 100% remote, flexibility, and company that puts families first and won’t give me a hard time about doctor appts 🙏🏻

Does Globant terminates the employment of certain trainees after their probation(3 Months) based on their performance in the training period? Some of the fresher trainees were laid off this morning without giving a notice or reason.

We were told that the probation period is a training period & not an elimination one. It was shocking as a few of those trainees were actually good.
