Almost all of the vets I’ve met are unhappy, exhausted, and near the breaking point. Is the profession really a one-way ticket to misery? Does anyone still love their job?

They are all technical. All of them could easily be very technical cloud consultants or cloud engineers.

Unpopular opinion: as a vet, I can assure animals can be as mean as human beings, they just can't speak up for you to know. And they also have the power to dislike you.

Having an animal friend with cancer is not something easy. This year I have already had 24 animals that went to sleep in order to stop suffering. This is not easy for their families at all. It seems to me that the cancer stats in domestic animals are increasing, is this just me?
