What is it lately with all the off-topic responses to reasonable, specific questions that seem to aim at making the poster feel superior rather than provide guidance to the OP? I guess this really is a forum of consultants.
I lived at home for 2 years out of college which allowed me to save up and buy the condo I live in now
Yeah I look after my parents, I'm essentially supporting them.

The fact you would be moving to a larger market office normally makes the sell easier. Talk this over with your CC or a trusted SM / M who can help you figure out the best way to sell it as a business benefit for the firm. When you hit the bench aggressively target roles out of that new metro area.
Yeah they have a local office, only thing is, my current office is small and the new office is a big market
Does it come with fries?
Ask the firm..if they are moving to another city with a local office it likely won't be an issue.
Family as in your spouse and children? Or your mom and dad?
I think you have a more compelling case if it is the former.
Unless you have financial pressure or need to look after your parents, I don't understand why you would stay at home. Being independent in your 20s, especially with the money we make in Consulting, is such a blessing and I wouldn't trade that for anything.
A2 is right OP. Moving to larger office should make this an easy transition. And don't listen to the morons in this thread telling you to move out asap. Stay at home as long as you can and save up. You'll be laughing all the way to the bank when you hit 30 and buy a house with cash.
A2 D1 appreciate the advice guys!
