Does anyone have any insights on what a typical Sr. Associate Director makes at Boehringer Ingelheim? I have a range of 170-180k which I think is fair but don’t want to be underpaid. Also, any information regarding retirement planning or medical/dental benefits would be helpful. Haven’t gotten much out of HR. Thanks in advance!

Which country are you moving from? Is it an international pay scale or regional pay (hence the pay cut?) - possible to see if u can get on international pay scale.
Do they give you other benefits like relocation, vesting? - should compare total comp
There are a lot of benefits, but when you get it let us know
Sure thing. I'm aware there are relocation benefits, but didn't manage to find specifics on glassdoor, and wasn't appropriate until real offers come in
Woaaaaahhhh what are they offering that could make you consider a 50% salary cut?
Have you ever lived in Asia and/or BKK? Or SEA?
To live in BKK? :)
Mentor
Maybe in the 90s it was like that.
BKK is a really fun and cultural city these days.
I had the same exact experience. You will be in the top 10% in Bkk. Agoda has great people, super smart. I had a great experience with hr. I would totally of done it pre-COVID. However, I would definitely be nervous of travel industry as it won’t return to pre-COVID levels until at least 2025. Just think all the airlines got rid of tons of planes so when things do pick up there will be capacity constraints.
I see, so you didn't take the offer in the end? Top 10% in BKK really means 50% paycut 😂 I more for the experience in BKK than for retiring there, so financials will definitely be hit
Also interviewed with Agoda BKK and prob for the same role tbh. I think they’re low balling you at 50% — did you actually get the offer?
Nice, marketing too? Haven't gotten the offer yet, but the figure was indicated very early in the process by HR. Were you told something higher?
Maybe just to flip things a little, what would be a reasonable net paycut for this kind of opportunity? Net paycut meaning gross pay less taxes and any diff in pension schemes and accom (as the single largest consumer expense item). 20-30%? I'm almost certain it has to be a cut - where I come from, taxes are lower than in BKK lol
Taxes in bkk are like 15%
Hi Wondering if you took the SM Marketing Opportunity and if its still worth considering this role?
Is it worth for someone to move from Canada ?
Thanks
Didn't take it up. Offer was peanuts. Low COL and lower taxes yes, but I figured I'd rather keep my USD
