Do you want unlimited vacation as well?

Until our PTO policy changes, Deloitte PTO outweighs these lipstick additional options by EY, KPMG. If we go to “unlimited PTO”, I will change my view.

KPMG1 D3 is NOT the Deloitte I know, I’ll tell you that much. More like the occasional one I encounter who doesn’t last on my projects bc they can’t hold their own with a smart client.

like

Lol, no. I am currently at EY and evaluating a Deloitte offer, so curious if any folks from Deloitte had thoughts around this. It’s one of the better moves EY made this year..

I’m not... just asking a question.

Deloitte, Harvard, attitude, BD energy, and we work the hours to prove it!

Did kpmg and ey also give the one time $500 we got a few months ago?

So we just got a 1k work from home reimbursement, one time payment. But then seniors and associates also get a quarterly "award" to spend on fitness and what not. It's $300 per quarter but taxed, so more like $200 per quarter.

If I’m contributing to my Roth 401k vs pretax 401k and my employer matches 10% of my contributions. My employer match be 10% on my post tax contributions right? Technically meaning I’ll be getting less of my 10% employer match then if I were to do pretax 401k since that match would be on a higher amount?

What can I do to upgrade my game and reach those higher numbers?

I networked with VCs and one of them was receptive but didn't have the budget currently for a full time hire. They said they'd be interested in working with me to do a research paper over the coming semester, and was wondering if I could leverage this into a full time offer?

Is a white paper with a VC going to be attractive on my CV?

So i have been fortunate that i have managed to go through my career without the need for a degree. I was lucky enough to have been hired by one of the worlds top consulting firms, worked with a whole lot of big clients and travelled a lot. It's gotten to the point where I am not even asked about the lack of a degree on my resume. Personally though, it bothers me. I have a whole bunch of certifications in my industry…but just no formal degree. (cont'd)
