What geography? Any equity?

like

Southeast. No... I thought there’d be some kind of stock or other incentive but none was offered...

I was in complaince I learned early on we're super low balled sallery wise. My friends were making at least 40-60% more than me. I left shortly after.

like

Thanks. It feels light for what they are seeking...

What type of compliance and what industry?

Is the role in a separate compliance function or in legal (and was a bar admission required for the role?)

Without knowing that I’d say generally sounds about right for southeast - maybe that changes over time as we all work out that the location of the human doing the work shouldn’t dictate their salary band - but until then southeast is (in my experience) one of the cheaper places I can hire strong talent. I’d expect stock but depending on the answers to the above it might actually be a bit rich on the base and that might make up for the absence of stock.

Corporate, contract, vendor due diligence, and regulatory, as well as contract review. They have added an associate counsel title to the position now as well.

It’s manufacturing, which is a new industry for me…. They wanted a bit of a unicorn - someone who is barred and has practiced in addition to substantial compliance experience at a management level.

Help me ask for a raise in my upcoming performance review? In sum, my company’s HQ is in Texas and I feel I’m being paid a Texas wage when I live in Los Angeles (the role is remote). We do have a San Francisco office and I want to ask my boss to match me what staff are making there. As that’s more comparable. Based off of Glassdoor, my salary matches Texas’s exactly and SF has the same role at 10k more. Should I show him the Glassdoor page? Don’t want to come off too strong. Please advise

I have been approached with an opportunity at JP Morgan Chase for their private client advisor role. The book is about 30M all in. I currently make about 160k and if JPM would give me a high draw for the first 3 years to build, and if it’s feasible to sustain that 160+ there.

Long story short, I regret choosing the office that I chose. I’d like to transfer to another office - is that a difficult ask? I’m licensed in the state I’d like to transfer to.
