Pros and Cons to every position. Pros, you have a base and lots of resources with the best CE you’ll ever take. Cons, you get a measly 25% of collections.
what is the base, $160k? Is that working 4 days' a week?
Poor upper management, most are former office managers that are not very well trained or knowledgeable. Heavy with middle management clown, that is why only 25%. They try to make it seem like Heartland is the best but in the end they are low pay, highly middle managed. Rick Workman, the founding Dentist, pays 25%, stopped matching on 401K and makes believe it’s not about the money. Unethical and vindictive management.
Downside is you will rarely bonus and you’ll be at your base forever. One guy sent an email out that he has been making $140k for the last 10 years. Most people have a base between $120-180k as a dentist depending on your experience and negotiation skills. There is a high turnover for employees typically, but that is office dependent. There are PLENTY of PROs though. But if you want to focus on CONS, I’d say the pay with collections. If they paid on production, I don’t think anyone would ever leave.
Heartland, the large company?
