Heck yes. The hiring process is way less rigorous and methodical than you might imagine. A lot of it is just being in someone's head at the right moment. It's kind of like advertising in that way. So any opportunity you have to create another impression you should absolutely do. Also, I've gotten a couple of thank you notes lately. In the mail. And I got to say, it was really nice. Good luck!
Absolutely, but make sure it is not a question that you could also ask recruiting or HR. A CD or above does not want to tell you about vacation days, kitchen snacks or how many summer Fridays they get. I would make sure it’s something about the work, philosophy, or to clarify an answer or elaborate on something interesting you two discussed—I’ve gotten illuminating follow-up articles e.g. related to a certain topic—or just something more “creative“ than nuts and bolts agency info. That sounds like a no brainer but you’d be surprised how many times over the years I’ve gotten questions that are basically asking me to do their homework for them. That always backfires. Very least, mail an actual written thank you or, if time is of essence, email one.
Yes do that!!! We’re seriously flawed creatures and can guarantee that we missed something.
Help us be better by asking us questions. You deserve that.
Perfectly fine.
Definitely. Make sure it isn’t something they answered in the interview though. That’ll backfire on you. And limit it to just a couple of questions max. If you send a long list, it becomes work to respond.
