I've 5 years of experience into Java Spring boot. I got an offer from Paytm of 32 LPA and 450 units of ESOPs I also have an offer from JPMorgan Chase of 24 Lakhs of fixed pay and 15% ( 3 Lakhs approx. ) of bonus. Another offer from Zee entertainment enterprise ltd / Zeel of 30 LPA. Please help me choose either of these. I'm a little sceptical about Paytm as it is still burning cash. But optimistic as it uses the latest tech. #paytm #jpmc #jpmorgan #chase #choice
Hi Applied to PwC Strategy& for a consultant role and havent heard back from a recuiter however, I received an email for a survey asking what am I looking for in the company in terms of their culture, values etc and what other companies I have applied to. Is this a typical process? Not sure if thats the step 1 in the process or I have been rejected. Any feed back is appreciated. I am graduating from Ohio State with an MBA and have 8 years of experience in corporate accounting and finance.

Hey guys. I have been applying to Amex for the past 1 year. Tried applying on the portal, through referrals and even hr consultants reached me regarding the roles since I have a relevant profile. But not once have I been shortlisted or called for an interview. What could be the problem?
PS: I have gotten calls from every other company for the same profile but not amex. Can't be a problem with the profile. Seems something dicey which I'm not aware of.American Express

I know lots and lots of such folks. Only about 30% stayed beyond 4-5 years. So that may make one think it isn't worth the chase. However, if you look at the exit opportunities - PE, Funding for own startups, Leadership roles at startups, you realize these brands still command a lot of trust and respect in the market. I myself joined Kearney and realize there is definitely sea of difference in terms of strategic nature of the projects as well as the exit options.
Off course the folks who stay on and work their way to partnership in these firms standout as advisors to some of the top business leaders globally.
So imo it is absolutely worth fighting.
Happy to hear contrary thoughts and opinions.
One of my friends who moved from deloitte to MBB recently is finding it very hard. Both physically and emotionally draining with work till midnight being a norm was what I heard.
Others seem to cope and adapt.. Depends on person to person I guess. But generally I see a lot of exits in ~2 years since it's not sustainable and opportunities outside are good.
Yes up or out is there and practiced quite ruthlessly. 14 hours is pretty normal ( might be considered good by a few consultants).
I am one of those folks. Think anybody who makes it will probably say it’s worth it, at least financially.
Do you see yourself staying and becoming partner or using MBB as a launchpad to better WLB and good roles outside consulting?
It takes a lot out of you, but M1 is right - makes sense financially. I've doubled my already generous compensation in 2 years. Looking for exits now, and the name does open a lot of doors (even without referrals).
