I currently work for a company that has 91 employees and I’m the only HR person here. I only make 56K a year and I’m for sure getting screwed since I live in Lancaster, PA. I have a bachelors in Comm/HR with 3 YOE in HR.

I have 6 and half YOE in front end development. (angular and hybrid applications). I joined my current organization ( product based) in Feb for 24LPA. The work here is too stressful and there is absolutely zero WLB. So I decided to start looking out again. However I am not getting good interview calls. Are most companies not hiring now ? Or could it because my CTC is too high ?

Question regarding health insurance: I am going to be giving notice later this month and new insurance does not take effect until 1st if the month after 30 days of employment. So, I will most likely have a gap of one month with no insurance. Is that looked at as a bad thing in regards to insurance companies and what they will cover in the future? I really do not want to pay almost 2500 for a month of premiums when my family really does not go to the doctor frequently except for emergencies....
