Anyone have any idea what the in house culture at Zillow is like? SO is convinced they work 9-5 no weekends and >$200k plus benefits and options. I just can’t fathom this being true anywhere for a 6-8 year attorney position. Thoughts?
Received an offer from Deloitte in NYC as a Advisory Tech Assurance Senior Consultant. They are offering 100k base plus 10k signing bonus. Is this on par with what most are offered for this location and position?
Any gov consulting firms actively hiring in dc? I have a buddy who just graduated with his MBA but didn't go through consulting recruitment. Veteran + worked on the hill. Fishbowlburnerdallas@gmail.com

How does one go from Sr. Art Director to Studio Manager? And who's hiring mid to senior level creatives right now? Thanks!
I am in the UK and actively looking for a new senior/Manager role in consulting. I have 7.5 experience is in SAP over 50 consulting as Technical project delivery lead , 1 year in cisco APM(Appdynamics). I do not mind transitioning out of SAP to emerging technologies in big data, AI, cloud, etc. I am happy to share resume/cv for recommendation to deloitte, ACN, KPMG, microsoft or any of the top 7 consulting firms.
What are some things you wish you knew before you joined a Data Analyst role? Eg. Topics related to ML/AI models, business teams, etc.
We have opening for SAP lead at Bangalore office. Let me know if anyone is interested. Thanks
Has anyone ever considered doing Equity Research? If my interests are healthcare and life sciences, would ER with a focus on this industry lead to better exit opportunities than consulting in this space?
Made M recently. Total 10 YOE industry (7) and consulting (3) combined. Based out of MCOL city. Found a Directory level exit opportunity that pays 200k base (20% increase over current) but requires me to relocate to a HCOL city. I'm not sure whether to bite. Company isn't all that sexy and I like where I live but the JD looks like it was written for me. If it was a job that I wouldn't need to relocate for, I might just take it. Does it make good career sense to take it? Got a family too.
Been working in PA for 2 years. No prior internships or business related work. Is it okay that my resume is just my associate role with like 15 bullet points? Not sure how to fill in the blank space, and it feels super lame to bring in non-relevant college jobs. Can I include ways I'm involved at the firm like mentorship and diversity initiatives?
If you are receiving an offer from Jackson Lewis, for a lateral position, do they typically call first to extend an offer or will the first communication of the offer be via email?
Audit Senior 1 trying to exit to a start up where I get to juggle many roles.. anyone have advice on how to do this?
Transactional real estate attorneys, do you like your job? What does a first year/second year do in this position?
Hi 🐠: need some perspective. Currently approaching the end of my notice period at the current firm having accepted a role. However been getting much better opportunities to interview at other firms now. Have 2 months before I join the new firm. (1) What are the implications of interviewing after leaving the current firm from a referencing standpoint point? (2) Do I make it clear in the interviews that I’ve already resigned from the current firm? Thoughts welcome. TIA 🙏
FYI- We are hiring a Media Buyer (TV/Radio experience required) and a Copywriter! Remote/WFH with no plans in the near future to return to office.
Had final interview at startup with CEO and would-be direct supervisor and at the end they were using language like "you'll be our first [name of role]"... Does this mean I basically got it, or should I not read into it? I'll find out soon anyway, but appreciate any speculation 😅
I’m documenting updates my manager provides every week in my PIP document and at the end of the month he says his feedback isn’t captured accurately. What’s the best way to deal with this? Don’t want to get fired and think I’m doing much better than other people in my role
Pros and cons of working in Human Capital Consulting for Deloitte GPS? (Government and Public Sectors) How are the exit ops?
When you thought you went to a market paying firm but they took months to match the salary raises and are making them effective as of OCTOBER FIRST 🤨
Just had breakfast at TFG DFW and can't help but appreciate the meals at EY learning week from last week in Chicago.
Do Marriott hotels check to verify corporate rate? Like do you have to show proof of working there?
A client based in Japan had sent us a list of some Japanese texts and their English translations at our request which we needed. SM: Copy all the Japanese texts and their translations from document that client sent into a new document and send it back to client (to whom it came from) and ask them if they are correct. Me: Why are we doing that? SM: Just to ensure that we have validation in an email that client sent these translations to us. Me: Facepalm 🤦🏻♂️
Will Chase Sapphire reimburse my flight to Hong Kong due to everything going on with the coronavirus?
Heelllppp! My husband accidentally left his grocery COVID disinfectant spray in the same spot where I keep my water spray bottle (they are unfortunately the same color) I sprayed a sweet red pepper plant with the mix generously and poured some in because the plant seemed dry. It’s 70% ethanol. What should I do?? Repot immediately with fresh soil?
Two of my really good friends at work have had their work dry up in the past few months (because of the Rona). I'm like two months ahead of them on hours, and they're worried about not making their minimum billable requirements. Feel sort of guilty and try to avoid talking about hours with them. I'm just hoping the firm doesn't give them trouble...
I don’t like my company. As a matter of fact, I don’t like any company I’ve worked for. I’m just here to get that $$$ then bounce. I find people who like their firms with a passion weird AF
Any insight into Mastercard Advisors? Have a new grad opportunity there. My start date at a B4 strat got postponed so decided to interview around. I'm interested in data + analytics and would want to go into industry eventually, but conflicted because unlike BA programs at CapOne or Visa, you're still working for an external client. Feel like there will be a broader variety of projects in B4 and while I'm casually interested in fintech, I don't want to get pigeonholed in FS so early on
To anyone who’s been forced to travel during this time - has anyone travelled with delta? How are the flights, lounges, etc. How have they scaled back operations in response to covid? Did you feel safe?
Is doing freelance work on the side (when I’m off the clock, of course) considered taboo? Considering signing up for Fiverr to make some fun money but I don’t want any bad blood with my current job because I really like it and am not planning on leaving any time soon. (Sorry if this is a dumb question, this is my first copywriting job out of college and I’ve been 100% remote, so it’s hard to get a feel for things like this!)
Hi everyone! Curious to hear - how have you been keeping in touch with your queer/gender non-conforming community these days?
I just joined as a Director in the R&D Strategy group in Big Pharma. How do you get promoted in industry? What are the usual timelines?
When the client says they want strategic solutions but shoots down every strategic recommendation in favor of short term quick fixes and workarounds
please god, i am barely hanging on with motivation to complete my work, why do i have an over eager intern assigned to me :/
I’ve been looking at getting Louboutin sneakers recently. I think this is a bit stupid but I guess these purchases are not rational. My question is - do these things last? I don’t want to pay $700 for shoes that will fall apart after 6 months.
