Is it possible for me to learn new technology and switch. Recently acquired AWS cloud practitioner certification which is of no use to me now as they are asking for exp. I wanted to move to devops role. But without experience no one is giving opportunity and they are considering my profile as QA only 😒

I am currently working as a PayPal AWF/CW in contractor's payroll for the past 3 months. I heard many got converted from AWF to FTE. So what is the process for FTE conversion? Is it worth it to go back to school for a better track to a FAANG company? The division I’m currently in seems like there are no good opportunities, and I have the funds available to finish my undergraduate full time (Canada). I applied to Amazon before for a highly senior position and made it to final interview so I think I would have a better chance for a new grad type role.

They paid for my travel to their headquarters for in-person training. After interacting with my manager and some of the attorneys, I feel like I made a mistake. Manager is demeaning and rude. If you start as a Program Manager, how/when do you begin to advise people as a people lead? I’ve heard Program Managers are not people leads. I started lead a team of 3 about a month ago at my current job and don’t want to lose leadership experience but have been told my YOE would map to a Program Manager level at Google.

I'm having two 2nd-to-last rounds for non-G FAANGs this week, but I haven't heard if/when I am advancing in interviews for 2 different roles at G that I last interviewed or phone screened for 2 weeks ago. Will Google speed up if I tell them I'm in the process with another FAANG? Will it look bad if I tell G I'm advancing elsewhere but don't get the offer elsewhere?

Currently at Meta (working as a Program Manager) and considering accepting a role with Disney Streaming to support the scaling of Disney+. My dream however is to eventually work at Google.
