Any insights into turn around time for interviews and hiring in federal government jobs? I’ve applied to a couple on USAJobs and right now it just says that applications are being reviewed. Wondering if anyone else has any experience with the hiring process

Very, very long turnaround time and often job postings just close without the “reviewing application” or “referred as eligible” status changing. The subreddit r/usajobs has a lot of timelines and advice to share on the mess that is federal hiring.

TA1 that’s about what I expected but I appreciate the response nonetheless! And I’ll check out the Reddit forum as well. Thanks!

Hey guys, so I just finished my final interview on Monday (today's Friday) for a company in Norway and was told to wait until next week as they're interviewing this week. It's been a few days and has been replaying the entire interview on my mind wondering if it was alright. What do you do while waiting? I need to take off my mind from worrying - obviously I want this job so badly!

Me and my SO don’t live together. I visit her once during the week and generally spend weekends with her. What night I go during the week sometimes varies and sometimes I make plans on the weekend where I stay home. Sometimes she gets confused on what nights I’m gonna be there and not be there and when I tell her I’m not coming she acts like she’s sad and disappointed and I feel bad like I need to go pack a bag and go see her that night instead of when I planned. She says she’s not mad or sad.

Such an awesome God we serve! Have a blessed day!

Mens loafer sizing. Got a pair of ferragamo loafers and wanted to know how they break in. I was inbetween the 9 and 9.5. The 9.5 fit fine with some space but I was worried how they would break in and stretch over use and become loose. The 9 fit a tad too snug on the width end. Should I stick with the 9 or go 9.5?

I feel like I’ve screwed up any chance for happiness by going into the law. I hate the law firm culture. It’s made me so depressed. But I can’t find time or energy to network or develop skills that could land me a non-law job with decent pay (I have student loans). It seems like the only options for getting out of the law are to become a career coach or a recruiter, which I don’t want to do. Can anyone share a success story to give me hope?
