Do you want to do IA? That's more crucial than the money. Making 15k more to so a job you won't like is not worth it given how quickly salaries to up in public. If you like IA then it is a decent enough raise
Idk, that's 20%, seems like a reasonable amount to leave for. What would be your salary at EY if you stayed another year?
Chicago Office! But wow 75k to 100k is really good!
What motivated you to jump in the first place? And does this new job align with those reasons? It’s easy to get distracted from those reasons once you have an offer in hand but try to reflect. If IA is truly a good fit for you then go for it! 20% is a great bump and there’s no “right” time to leave PA, contrary to what people say.
Thank you for the advice! The main reason for jumping the ship is the hours at the Big 4. Crazy hours Jan - April, and somewhat ok hours the rest of the year. Spoke to the recruiter for IA and she says no one works more than 40 hours a week.
If you want to stay in IA, then probably stay till senior. If you’re trying to jump into finance or something deferent eventually, then leave whenever you want. Just my opinion
