Any junior associates that can recommend a recruiter that got them a fat signing bonus? I’m a 2020 corporate associate at a V10 and don’t see myself staying in Big Law for very long. I want to look at options for taking advantage of the signing bonuses (to help pay down loans) before exiting. (Also would be curious to hear anecdotal data on signing bonuses for 2020 corporate associates.) Thanks!

VP (report to executive director) strategy and analytics big bank in NYC. 8 YoE. What should I say for salary? Thinking $200k base. Would prob settle for $215k total (base + bonus). Reasonable?

I’m an S2 at RSM in FDD in a HCOL city and after year-end reviews I got a small salary bump from $85K to $90K. After hearing about the pay for external hires, I interviewed for and just received an offer at PwC as an S2 for $102K plus a $10K sign-on bonus. I asked for a bump to $105K and PwC agreed. Should I give RSM an opportunity to match (I don’t think they will)? And does that PwC comp seem fair?

Staff two here and just got my new salary. Base is a measly $2,700 more than incoming hires. When you take into account their bonus our peer group makes 8.1% less than people with zero experience. How does this make any sense. Did leadership think this was a good idea? I’ve been reading a lot on fishbowl about managers making less than incoming MBAs. How is that fair? Think this was a really poor job of executing salary adjustments. Am I wrong or does there need to be a change soon

Got the following offers on the table: 1. Big 4 - Manager, $180k + $20k sign on, told a good expectation is 12-15% bonus next year. 1.5% 401k match and 3% pension contribution. First year cash would be around $225k 2. New, well funded advisory arm of an established business - Engagement manager, $210k, 20-25% bonus. 2.5% 401k match. First year cash closer to $250k Big 4 is a defined path with history, reputation, and exits. Other place is largely unknown but a lot of comp. What do you think?

How to negotiate salary offer at a startup given the following. Offer is -$5k my current salary, but I'm up for promotion in a few months which would bump me +~$10-15k, also have an offer from their direct competitor but it's -$10k my current salary since they are earlier stage.
