How much yearly hike can one expect at Société Générale ?
"Depends on performance" seems to be a very vague answer.
Can someone please elaborate on a better answer.
Also, Can someone shed some light on promotions?
Is there any policy, like you have to work for X years to be eligible for promotion etc.
Thanks in advance.

Hi all. I am trying to determine if I am being compensated fairly. I am a tax manager (about to start my second year as manager) and have been with EY since staff 1. I was promoted to manager in June 2020 (during covid) and received a 7.5% raise. The class above me has mentioned they received much higher raises during their promotion years. My base salary is now approx. 97K. Any insights would be extremely helpful. Thanks!

Wait so we have barely past first-year associates out here asking for a "fat signing bonus"? Man it's posts like these that really make me realize I need to get over my WOC imposter syndrome.

Agreed OP, if you can make it, take it
Don’t hate on A1, I agree with their sentiment. You literally barely know anything and are already eyeing a jump for a fat signing bonus? Maybe stay put a little, make some connections, and learn something. Frankly most people I know don’t love firm jumpers. It comes up in interviews and it will show on your resume.
That’s fair, but several quick jumps is very different from a one-time move in the second year

Thanks A1 for not answering the question! 🤣 OP trying to get his or her bread, let it happen.
OP, 2020 may be tough, but maybe, further into your second year, you could pull it off. I saw 2019’s last year get 50k at my v25. West coast tech big law, they all compete. I will say though that we aren’t as interested in juniors right now (there’s plenty), it’s the more senior people we need.
You can DM me. We got $75K and $85K.

Go to Willkie. They need you. They’re paying 75k for a referral, I’m sure you can get fat $tack$ there

Any insight on Willkie west coast?
Don’t listen to the boomers telling you to stick around just because they did. Get yourself paid!
This is the most accurate description of what’s going on in this thread 😂 Thanks A8, you’re a real one
Come to Goodwin, they’ll offer you $20k signing bonus and I will give you an additional $10k (after tax) if you go through me
