Hello! Does any one have any insight/advice for a McKinsey interview? I have a call with a McK recruiter next week to discuss my background, which will hopefully lead to official interviews. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, I’m new to exploring the mgmt consulting world.

Hey there, just got a mail from a recruiter at Bain to discuss a potential specialist consultant opportunity. Any tips on what the interview process might be like , indicative comp and WLB? I have 7 years experience in the releavnt field (Acc & Big 4) so will be joining laterally.

I’m 23 and independent. Working full time and studying full time is taking a serious toll on my mental health. I’m always tired, unmotivated, depressed, sometimes angry at my life, and I don’t know what to do. I’m in my sophomore year. I also don’t work in the field that I’m studying (computer science) because I’m always rejected without an interview, which is another aggravating factor for me. It’s hard to have time to work on personal projects to make my portfolio more attractive.

Is an offer after only a first screener a red flag?

l interviewed for Deloitte (India not USI) in January, and accepted an offer letter with DOJ of 25th April, later HR asked me to join on 11th April for which I agreed. Now I haven't received the revised offer letter or any links other than BGV and Pre-Hire form from Deloitte and now the HR is not even picking my calls or responding to emails.

Any advice on what to do?

I am a 25-year-old first year associate fresh out of law school at a small civil litigation firm. I went to a good law school and work hard. I’ve been in this position for about 5 months now and I keep messing up. Losing track of tasks. I have never felt dumber. Any advice? Should I be doing better at this point? I’m a licensed attorney!! I’m an L&E associate entering my 5th year at a mid-sized regional law firm (approx. 400 attorneys). Barred in PA/NJ. Billed 2100 last year but my requirement is 1950. Should I try to lateral into BigLaw or should I try to go in house? Are either of those realistic options for me? I seem to be doing a significant amount of municipal law too, which is not what I expected or wanted at all. I want a life but would also hate to take a pay cut. Interested in L&E. Advice?
