Depends if you want to be viewed more technical or not. CISSP is a management cert, whereas GSEC is a technical cert.

I would say that the CISSP is more well known outside of the security community, so if you’re intention is to go more broadly, the CISSP probably has more market value. Take all that with a grain of salt in that I have a CISSP and not a GSEC.

like

CISSP is way more valuable

like

Get CISSP if you go for a SANS cert go for something better known like GCIA\GCFA\GPEN... the more non technical look at isc2 or icasca

+1 for the CISSP

Will this role be suitable for me?

Any in-house antitrust counsel willing to offer up some advice? I just started in a firm's well-regarded antitrust group. What do I do over the next few years to make myself most marketable to move in-house? And when is that move actually feasible/ideal for antitrust specialists?

Seems like I can pull work from the whole discipline (merger clearance, civil lit, criminal) — should I spread myself across all of it to maximize my skillset/marketability?

All thoughts and advice welcome. TYSM :)

Hi! I have a quick question and could use some advice:

I have 1 job offer that is an hour away and pays 45k, after negotiations (Research Associate Position at a University) .

I have just interviewed for a position closer to home and a base salary of 65k, but haven’t heard back from them in about 2 days (He said he would make a decision by yesterday and I’ve reached out).
I have to decide on the first offer by Thursday but I haven’t heard back from the second yet. Thoughts on next move?
