Not right time to join now. Morale is low and lots of pressure on quota. So better to look out somewhere else
S3 thanks for your kind words and feedback.
I’ve said repeatedly it’s absolutely the right thing to do, and as a hiring manager myself I’d look for previous hires as well— overall it’s an opportunity to find the best candidate.
Any organization or hiring manager can do what they want with a role— it is their right. I am saying that there are ways to socialize that to the general public so that interested candidates don’t waste their time applying to an “open” role that isn’t open. I’ve seen plenty of SF listings that say: “INTERNAL ONLY.” It’s as simple as adding that blurb with a bit more frequency.
Just one idiots opinion I suppose.
It’s fascinating. It sure as hell ain’t a pretty picture— though if you worked in 2008/9 that was far worse (IMO).
Not sure anyone’s singing corporate praises loud and proud anywhere— I’m optimistic things might be kind of sort of looking towards maybe thinking about starting to talk about getting better….
……but I could be wrong.
