You definitely need to exercise but the diet is what’s going to drop the weight.
I use to rollerblade a lot, I don’t think I would do it outside atp though bc concrete is hard. IMO weight lifting would be the best option esp as we age bc it helps maintain bone density.
No one really enjoys strength training, I do it to ensure that as I age I age well. 30 min/day is a drop in the bucket, you can still skate every day too - strength training is going to make your skating easier.

Weight loss is typically 90% diet and 10% exercise. If you like skating, go for it! Just make sure you’re getting enough protein in and you’ll drop the weight.
Protein intake should be .7-1g per pound. If you weigh 130 lbs, you would eat 91-130g/day. Driving that up will help the pounds shed along with reducing processed sugar and alcohol.
