Honestly, as a junior, it’s hard to negotiate salary, but it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try.
When I did, they offered me an extra $5k which went a long way as a junior.
Yeah, that’s 10% when we’re talking $50k. They’ve OKed the ranges I’ve provided so we’ll see
Come in informed. Do your research about what is fair for that position in your market and be prepared to back that up.
Make sure you get a salary you’ll be happy/comfortable with for 2 years (not saying it’ll take that long to get a raise but plan for it)
If it’s looking like numbers aren’t gonna budge, get creative. Ask about PTO. And make sure you’re able to bill for OT at time+1/2.
