My story, and I’m really dating myself. I didn’t have a relationship until I was 40. I had a lot of sex, and maybe, if I push it, one boyfriend in my 20s. This was the AIDS era, and a lot of people didn’t think that they were going to live. But at 40, via match.com and the AOL chat rooms ( that’s the dating myself part), I met my husband. We’ve been together for 14 years, and married since 2006, I think. He knows dates better than I do. He is a classical musician, and I am a banker. Perfect. So, my point is, you never know how or when you might meet someone. If you can’t stand the apps, then join a meet up group. You have to have at least a toe in the water. If you never leave your office or apartment, that’s not going to help. And people in other professions work long hours too. My overall point is if could happen to me, it can happen to you. You just don’t know when. And relationships are not necessarily easy. Understand what you’re singing up for

30 m ny/nj. US citizen. Moved as a teenager. INTJ. Single since I figured I’m not fighting the biological clock and have all the time in the world to meet someone and get settled.
