Yay congrats so exciting!! What type of workouts do you like? Cardio, Pilates/yoga, weight lifting?
I have a Gym in my building and usually do treadmill for 30 min and then weights that o just use the machines with no particular order. Ideally looking for something that can help me build a routine and be more accountable!
What’s your goal? Are you trying to lose weight? If that’s priority I’d take a look at your food intake first, you won’t see much (if any) noticeable weight loss with exercise alone.
If you’re looking to build visible muscle, I suggest a hypertrophy focused program. I like to check out muscleandstrength.com for programs and then filter for what fits my goals and schedule. Stick with one routine - gets boring, but also gets results. Make sure you’re always increasing weight or reps as the weeks go on, and track progress (I use the notes app on my phone, nothing fancy)
Don’t be afraid of getting bulky by weightlifting, I’m a female and have been following these types of programs for years and I’m still veryyy lean, I just have muscles to show for it when I flex lol.
Was literally coming here to post this exact website, cosign!

What are your workout goals and what motivates you? Do you prefer at home workouts, at a gym, or a structured in person or virtual class?
I use ClassPass and also have a gym membership. I had mainly cardio and upper body strength goals before my wedding, so I did some running and cycling classes (via ClassPass) and then weight lifting at my local gym. However, what helped me the most was eating healthy. I meal prepped and kept tabs on what I ate.

I didn’t really follow a set program but would do the following. I wouldn’t necessarily do all of these in one session, but would alternate based on what was available in the gym.
- biceps: curls
- shoulders: overhead press with pulling weights in and down to work rotator cup, pulling weights up to armpits, straight arm raises
- triceps: dips
- chest: push-ups or chest presses, reverse (?) flys
- back/ arms: bent over rows, rowing machine, and rower, Supermans (but on the back machine- not sure it’s name), weighted pull downs
Luckily my gym had a decent amount of upper body machines, a bench, and variety of weights.
