Yep. Just be very very careful. It’s no joke to say it’s a high risk high reward game. The beta and spreads on these companies are crazy high.
Make sure you do your technical diligence and have the expertise to know the right questions to ask. Also know your lane.... eg if you have expertise in Immuno-oncology don’t try to take bets on cardiac focused companies. Lastly talk to the appropriate KOLs during your diligence. This can get costly.
In short, really think about if this is an area you want to play. Not to say you shouldn’t... just go in with open eyes.

Reading the Cowen Bible and initiating coverage reports is a good way to get started in the space if you don't have experience. It comes down to heavy scrutiny around trials and science, which is something you can't get through a textbook.
I recommend also reading a few life sciences short / long reports - see Medical Research Collaborative, for example.
