Last minute cancellation here. I’m throwing my time/energy into making loads of food: cinnamon rolls, enchiladas, duck a l’orange, cranberry cake, hot toddies, charcuterie, etc.

I just found out a family member tested positive this morning. I was looking forward to seeing everyone but I know I’m better off playing it safe and staying home with my cats. Trying to find the best takeout option for later and crack open a nice bottle of wine..

Also had to cancel a trip with my kids to see my parents since one caught Covid. :-(. Lots of cooking and baking on the agenda and also have set up a 8 hour zoom so it’s always on with my parents so we can just have the web camera on in the kitchen so we can zoom video/chat when we’re cooking.
That's so smart! I'm single and on the West Coast so I would be the one Zooming in while my family gathers in NY :/
Well... still seeing people, actually, with combination of outdoors, masking, and everyone vaccinated.
Forgot to include: We also ordered box of rapid tests a while back, and use those before a gathering (even if all at gathering are masked and vaccinated, if includes the elderly/high-risk)
My stepson's mom got covid, while visiting us so now she's quarantining in our house thru the new year because her mom lives with her. Then my husband also got covid, so I guess we are just having a covid christmas?

Both parents are down with Covid and exposed us a few days before they tested, so we’re isolating in case they shared the love.
Me 🙋🏾♀️ recently moved to a new city with my boyfriend and I tested positive for covid in day 4 lol thankfully we didn’t have plans but still.. I distracted myself by making dinner (chicken because I totally forgot that turkey needs 2 day defrosting lol) and now watching selling Tampa… my SO is sick as well so he’s quarantining in a separate room.. fun times 😅
