Anyone ever struggle to identify a bad manager/engagement lead because your ADHD makes you question your own performance as much as your manager’s?

THIS!!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 But after working with him for nearly a year, I can confidently say that HE is the problem. If your manager knows about your ADHD, he/she/they should be accommodating. If they aren’t, I’d like to say that it’s on them for not being an inclusive and supportive people manager.

I’m a new winter grad and I feel absolutely horrendous. As much as I don’t want to admit it I’ve never been more depressed in life. It’s not even bc I’ve lost the stress from school, it’s that I really don’t look forward to my job.

I’ve always wanted to travel the world but I’m in finance and in the role I am in there’s no way for me to do that. I’ve also always wanted to start some kind of food business but it feels like a pipe dream especially given the risk and trade off. Any suggestions?

I’ve been working to an unhealthy degree lately. And I’ve been making the excuse that I have a lot of work right now, but I’m starting to wonder if I’m addicted to it. Part of it is anxiety and perfectionism. But my behavior is now actively harmful to myself and starting to harm my marriage.

How do I stop? I’m not talking work-life balance. I mean, how do I say, “I don’t care that the client wants this tomorrow and I’m not close to done, I’m going to sleep tonight”?

Well I recently told a guy I have been seeing I have HSV-2. We have not yet been physical but it’s been heading that direction. Man I hate this part - waiting to see what his response will be after he researches and talks to his doctor. I’m on daily meds which help reduce transmission risk. You’d think that since HSV-2 affects 20% of Americans and likely a higher % of gay men, there would be less taboo but it’s hardly ever talked about. Anyone else in my shoes? Or had it disclosed to them?

I recently got diagnosed with ADHD. I'm 31 and found this only because b school and post mba consulting job was/is much more challenging than anything I did before. What I'm confused about is that even as a teenager I could read entire books overnight. But the last two years of high school I started selectively zoning out and the problem has become worse since. Hey there! I am currently taking Adderall and thinking about switching to Vyvanse. Those of you that have taken Vyvanse, did it affect your sleep or caused weight loss?

I have not been diagnosed with ADHD. I definitely fit some of the characteristics that go unnoticed in females. The good news is if i do have ADHD, it makes me quite good at my job as I’m very flexible and can provide positive energy to my patients. Anyway, my boss has told me I have ADHD multiple times.
