Anyone going to the EY BAP-TAP Holiday party next week?

I have a Deloitte PDM offer. I’ve read about the positives/negatives and I’m so torn. When my recruiter says I’ll have “144 hours” of PTO (18 days), will I definitely still run into the utilization trap of not being able to take it? Are all projects 40-42 hr weekly caps? Third question: I’m new in the DC area, are PDMs invited to firm socials? Trying to make friends! Thanks in advance

How would you feel going on vacation with friends who want to bring their kid along too?

Im considering investing in a rental property. Would prefer something I can use and enjoy but still leverage as a vacation rental. We’re a skier/snowboarding family and would love to have a home we can use in the winter with lakefront/lake access for summer use. Does it make financial sense? Generally, can you cover annual costs for a year round vacation rental or I am more likely to sink money into it with no real ROI?

What's your ideal PTO? Activity and length of time off?

I recently had an initial interview for a technical recruiter position. The guy on the phone stated that this is not a 9-5 job and long hours are expected. I proceed to ask how much PTO is offered and he said that is not recommend within the first 6 months of working and the harder you work the more PTO you receive. From that conversation, I saw instant red flags. Any thoughts?

Hello! I’m based in NYC and looking for my next role. I work in the digital strategy/brand strategy space. I have experience across multiple industries (tech/telecom/Pharma (dermatology)/beauty and skin care and I am looking for a Director or VP role (my last job was a VP). I would like to keep my base of at least $180k (is this reasonable if I look for Director positions too?) Would love to land something soon before we hit the holiday season. Do you think what I am looking for is reasonable?

In your opinion, what does sales enablement mean, and how does it function between sales and marketing? The space is still so new that it seems you hear a different definition with each person you ask!

Long post alert; I have been interviewing with a b4 for a senior con role since Mar end. Cleared all the rounds including case study and got strong rating as well as good feedback. Fast forward to last week, the talent POC calls me up and informs that she has asked the business if the position is still open, because now they just need the business approval to roll out the offer.
