Anyone have a financial advisor with CFP that is licensed in NC they would be willing to refer and their AUM minimums. Wife and I need recommendations

I am a CPA with 19 years of audit and corporate experience. I’m tired of month end and was thinking of exploring a CFP. Has anyone else ever made this transition? Any advice?

I am an experienced, trustworthy, CFP®, actively looking to purchase a small to mid-size practice in the Chicagoland area. I am with LPL and part of a Hybrid RIA. I’m open to different acquisition options including partnership.

Is getting your CFP worth the investment? I am in my 30s and plan on staying in this industry as an FA until I retire. Lately I’ve been getting asked if I offer any fee-only options and I know you can’t be fee-only unless you’re a CFP... Do we see the industry headed this way?

Anyone know of firms with the Los Angeles area that help you and encourage you to attain the CFP? I’m finding it hard finding local firms that have career trajectory from Client Servicing to full Advisory work.

I’m willing to pay for self study and take local classes but would love and appreciate sponsorship.

Any advice in general for making the jump from more client servicing to advisory would be greatly appreciated.

Ideally I’d love to make my way towards either an Advisor or Strategist.

Currently a Wealth Advisor for Citi but I honestly hate it here with a passion it’s the worst company I’ve ever worked for in my life and I’ve been in Wealth Management in the banking channel for over a decade. Series 7, Series 63, Life, CFP, ChFC, and soon to have my MBA with a focus in Mergers & Acquisitions. I’m look to enter another area of Finance at this point instead of starting over somewhere else from scratch, but not sure what direction to go. Interested in Investment Banking or M&A.

Do CFP CPA CFA and MBA make that big of a difference in the RIA world? I’ve seen very successful individuals with all 3 and without any at all

What’s the best way to make the jump from trust administrator to wealth strategist? I’m an attorney and trust administrator but I don’t have enough experience on the planning side, dealing with life insurance and business succession planning to get a decent paying wealth strategist job. What certifications would be best to bridge that gap? CTFA, CFP, CWS? Bring a lawyer, I always poopoo-ed things like CWS that seemed salesy and like something that only matters to Cannon.

I’ve been in the industry for 23+ years, 16+ of those spent as a Producing Branch Manager. I hold S7, S63, S66, S24 and I’ve completed the education for the CFP (need to pass the exam).
