- Do something visual like coloring the bubbles red, yellow, green. Without reading the detail, execs know status.
- I like to paste the work plan line items on there that are due that week along with status for each (which is sometimes a % if the due date straddles multiple weeks). Your status should be tracking against plan.
- If you’re not tracking risks/issues elsewhere, note it in a box on this slide. The importance of tracking risks/issues is the discussion it triggers.
- Likewise, tracking cross team dependencies (eg, you’ve got a rep from each team in the room, what do you need from the other teams? what do they need from you?)
