Anyone have any tips for a young woman dealing with older folks who… aren’t taking her seriously and treating her like a child?

I would suggest having an honest conversation with the person about it. I used to be all about just ignoring the person, but part of being an adult is having open and honest conversations!!

It comes with time. I grew up and was promoted twice on my team and now I’m a VP having responsibilities where I need people who used to manage me to do things. It was a long process, but I am in a good place now. There is still issues with one person which I have flagged to my manager and turns out that person has treated several ppl on my team like that

Carry yourself with maturity and confidence. Good posture, no excess mannerisms that age you, speak with clarity and sureness, no stumbling. Be prepared for any possible questions.

A well placed joke or witty remark can deflect patronizing behavior and show you're not threatened by their attempts to belittle you. Just remember to keep it respectful and avoid sarcasm. You don't wanna come across as sassy, just savvy.

I have a new client who, I think, got bad legal advice from someone else she consulted with. From the information I have, there is no way she gets to the numbers I do. I work in a pretty small legal community. How do I address this delicately? My client is hung up on “but that’s not that X said” even though I’ve explained it multiple times and way. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I will say this I love working with the students . I love getting to know them . I smile to myself when I go to work . Following this encounter with people in charge I had an anxiety attack. This was terrible and I have no trust . TAs are mistreated. Similar story?

I need some advice. I have some co workers that are really disgruntled and complain about their jobs a lot to me. It really bring me down and makes it hard for me to work because I get constant messages about how much they hate it here. I’m friends with them outside of work so I don’t want to explode on them. What do you recommend I do/say to them? I want our friendship to last but I can’t stand how they talk right now. And honestly some of their bitching is valid but some isn’t imo.

Hello Fishes,

Any idea when we get relieving letter/service certificate from TCS?

My LWD was 16th September and I received FNF 10 days before. Also got initial release letter on my LWD.

I see so many issues in this organisation.
When I joined TCS after 5 days of joining they used to mail me every week for 5 continuous weeks and asked me every time for previous organisation relieving letter.
But they themselves don’t share it and delay a lot.

Anyone please advise.
