If a recruiter asks me if I’ve spoken to another recruiter at the company, is it okay if I lie and say no? Or should I just be honest and say yes? I’ve heard of instances where candidates have been ghosted if they say they’ve been in contact with another recruiter. In my case, the recruiter I was in contact with messaged me on LinkedIn and never followed up after our 5 minute phone conversation.
