Me, but I haven't been sick nor had cold, flu, or covid symptoms since 2009 when I had the flu. I been working remotely since 2010 and its just me and my dog so my exposure to illness is very low.
Same, i have not been sick, so i haven't tested. My husband got it when visiting family out of state. He tested negative when he left to come home, but we knew he would likely test positive, so when he got home he immediately went into our bedroom and stayed there for 3 weeks until he tested negative again. He had access to a full bathroom and a door to outside, so we were able to fully quarantine. We both work remotely and we are both fully vaccinated, so in general we are pretty low risk
I had all the symptoms and had been with family members with Covid, but my tests said negative. I later found out that using certain medications can cause false negatives. Honestly, if you’re sick, stay home and don’t spread it.
Totally agree! If you can to stay at home. Unfortunately some people can’t afford it. In a perfect world we would all still have covid sick pay. What are the medicines you found out that cause false negatives?
Yes, but as a nurse if your symptoms don’t warrant it, then the rule is don’t test. No one wants to use all their vacation days sitting at home for a mandatory 5-10 day quarantine. If you are sick but feel better in 1-2 days come back to work and wear a mask if you are not 100% sure.
That rule doesn’t apply anymore. Looking back - it was not what it seemed. The naysayers were right
This is one of the reasons I personally prefer telehealth appointments!
If not tested, that can’t be accurate!
A test needs to be done with a positive result.
Yep!
I have never had covid (and havent had a cold or the flu since the pandemic) and have tested about 3 times. I am also vaccinated...got all the boosters. I still wear a mask and sanitize my hands.
I have a TON of family and friends who have said that they have never had it which I find hard to believe. None of them ever test and some of them think Covid isn't even real so of course they aren't going to test and be proven wrong. Heaven forbid we acknowledge something that is very real.
I have some family members like that too! One of them had the exact same symptoms as me and at the same time as I did and didn’t test and of course tells everyone he had never had Covid!! And another family member who had a faint positive line who’s say he never had Covid! Just allergies! When it wasn’t allergy season!🤣
I have never had Covid and I have tested and everything came out negative
Maybe try testing again if you still have symptoms. I know people who had to test several times before their test was positive when they were sick. Especially if you tested in the first 3 days of symptoms . Day 4 is a good day to test
I have had several people I know test positive with no symptoms. They only tested because a family member or close friend had it!
Or they say they don’t have Covid but their symptoms are all Covid symptoms and they haven’t tested…or they tested with a test that is expired!
