EY1....you live in Tampa?
Amount of travel is somewhat important, but the better metrics are spend and home airport.
I’ve been AA Concierge Key before which is their equivalent. Revenue matters more than miles or segments I believe I spent about $65K on them the last year I qualified for CK (2015) , mostly international business class.
What level are you in your career? Do you fly a lot of business class? Or is it just so many flights?
Director with a bunch of international travel. Revenue per mile is most important though I suspect getting this level of status would be tough under $45K or so of spend. The lowest number of segments I got it on in any year was 52.
Delta 360 Diamond last 3 years. Did a million in 3 years. MQMe that is
United GS for the last 2 years. My spend was north of 60k, all on united metal. Not based in a hub city
M1 NYC homie. All international
I’m AA ConciergeKey for about 7 years now. Threshold used to be a lot lower, but I usually run about $70-$80k per year. Mostly international business class travel.
What are the benefits like?
I’m Chicago based United GS. Got it without trying 4 years ago (what I mean by that is, I wasn’t optimizing spend on one airline, I was distributing but happened to fly a lot of United). Have focused on United ever since. Last year I was worried I wouldn’t requalify, I took some time off, but still managed to make it. Spend last year was under $40k but other years much higher and I am a high margin flyer.
