What are the best software / tech conferences? Less focus on the startup stuff, more mature buyout / growth preferred.

I’ve been getting contacted by PE/VC recruiters lately but I don’t think I’m ready to leave consulting yet. I’d like to do another year before I pivot but don’t want to burn any bridges. Is there a way to communicate this to recruiters and have an opportunity in the future or am I chalked?

I currently work in IT Audit at Deloitte and have a degree in Management Information Systems. I'm looking to transition into a cyber security role either with or outside of the firm. Anyone have experience doing this and have any tips or ideas? Or have any tips on some certifications I could get that would make me more desirable?

I'm 4 years qaulfied & in an accounts based role with exposure to personal tax. Starting to feel my learning is slowing down. Due to acquisitions I feel like I'm falling down the pecking order and while I love it there concerned about my long term direction.

Ultimately I want to start up on my own and currently thinking if I use the next year to gain an tax based qailfication (ACA) looking at ATT?

Hi Everyone, Started my career in government 5 years ago working in an operational role, then focussed on HR for 3 years working my way up to a middle manager role in HR as a business partner and completed my Level 7 CIPD. I don’t think HR or government is for me anymore and looking to find something new, now 24 feel I have a lot of transferable skills and knowledge but worried about private companies in other professions taking me seriously. Can anyone let me know how easy it is to apply to a consulting firm in Dubai directly coming from London? I am currently working at a T2 strategy firm in London and my partner and I want to relocate in ~1.5 years. My firm does not have an office in Dubai whilst my partners firm does.
