Anyone here struggling to find any real tech jobs? I am in the data and analytics aiming to exit consulting for industry but this place seems barren. We barely have any tech here, mostly just a handful of orthodox American corporations like UPS, Coca Cola, etc which have IT/Data functions more for operations than anything else. Job transition question: I recently accepted an offer for a new role with Merrill Lynch, the following day I was fired from my previous employer. I haven’t filled out the updated work history background check info yet. The reason for termination was due to performance expectations not being met. Should I reach out to my new employer and let them know that I’ve been terminated? Should I just put the termination update on the background check form and leave it at that? I was told on the phone when dialing my complex’s after hours number (which is managed by a 3rd party company) that my complex’s policy would let me in for a cost of $100 (as it was after hours).
