Are recruiters worth more than L&D specialists? We have a new recuiter that transferred in from another dept. & is already making more than me and has a higher comp range. We have same tenure & they have NO prev. recuiting experience. I should also add I have been helping cover recuiting in interim. I also help cover HR tasks, have my SHRM, 5 years of HR exp., and 2 degrees. Is the "value" for recruiters more than L&D? I feel a little taken advantage of, but want to know if I'm off base here.
Question - currently working as a workers comp specialist for 20provider practice and I believe I am being under paid?? 15/hr or more like 20/hr have 20plus years of experience

Always a student. This helps me relate to my own. Mistakes. Confusion. Oopsies like giving the wrong answer when we KNOW it. Learning keeps me off any high horse because sure as the world I’d otherwise get knocked down. We are all students in our classrooms. An indirect bonus is that the connection we make by remembering what it’s like to be a student helps us manage the class better. We relate. We admit. We connect.
Does anyone have any good salary benchmarks for data science and/or devsecops junior-mid level hires in the current market? Company is planning hires in the next 3 months and trying to level set
I recently got a promotion in my company to work as a Junior CSR in Commercial Lines but I also got a job offer elsewhere to work in the entertainment insurance industry as an Associate. I got the RIBO license in January. The job offer pays more than my promotion but once I told my manager I had this offer she said they are willing to match that offer, however I wouldn’t see an increase in salary for a while. I don’t know what to do because both jobs sound really interesting. Any advice?
I'm a Human Resource Management major with a minor in Labor Studies and I have about a year of internship experience, mostly in recruiting. Is setting my salary expectations at $52-58k aiming too high especially for non-recruiter positions? I'm from and live in New Jersey

Does it make sense to move from one business unit to another at same position? What sort of pay raise one usually gets with that kind of move? Currently at B30 (Senior Analyst). Also, will it also affect current year’s rating and bonus? Does one have to serve notice period for an internal move? If yes, then how much?
I have over 12 years in B2B sales/sales management experience along with a graduate degree. I am wanting to shift gears and I am at a point where I can invest time in myself to learn through practical experience. The new industry I am wanting to pursue is real estate investment. I have read all the books but want some hands on experience on the property management side. How could I best leverage my skills for a role in this, and what should my expectations be for negotiation in compensation?

I think I need to get off social media. I keep reading all these horror stories about women on dating apps or men getting super crazy after one date. I think it's putting me off going on dates with people who I haven't already met, which is annoying. Anyone had better luck once they got offline?
I recently had an interview with a very promising pre-IPO company in the AI/ML space for a SE leadership position. The interview feedback was better than I expected, but with a twist. They have already given the offer to someone else, but they still want to bring me on board and they asked me what I would like to do. I am in the process of gathering more info, but it is tempting to ask about pivoting into product management. What would you do in this situation?

3rd year senior in the prairie provinces in corporate tax was 62k for me. Industry positions I’ve seen range from 75-85k at that level of experience. I’d say stick it out until manager which starts at about 75k out here, then industry range is closer to 85-100k
Interesting, I think prairie provinces do make lower...my salary increased to 74k...not sure if this is average in Toronto, as a lot of my peers are making quite a lot
