Hello, I have a Art History degree(2020 grad). The area I am in doesn't have any museums hiring! I just became a substitute teacher. Seeking a Masters/license in Special Education! I have my status of eligibility to teach Art K-12 but have not received any offers to be an Art teacher. Parents don't want me to get my license yet(since the car insurance went up etc). I'm finding it difficult to find remote jobs in either field(Art His). Can anyone refer me to a company/help me find a remote Job?

Mid 40s, single parent w/a 10yo. Monthly expenses: $5k. Student loans $90k (I'm ok paying until I die if it allows me to save.) Will eventually get saddled w caring for parents.

$7k emergency, $8k for kid fund. Leaving D. What to do w $30k in 401k & $15k pension?

New job =$160k base. I'll now be able to save all $2k child support - 529 or other investment vehicle? Would like to own a home but fuck ATX's overpriced real estate. How do I best position myself for retirement & kid for college?

Following a comment on another thread, I wanted to air some of my public accounting complaints (feel free to add yours!)

- How is it the staff's problem if the budget is low? I bill what I work, and if the engagement is complex or the client's documents suck, I have to bill that.

- Why are billable hours worked part of performance reviews if it's the partners' responsibility to 1) Obtain engagements and 2) Distribute the work accordingly. So why do I suffer if my billable hours are low?
