Started in *May* - Prior to signing everything, I expressed concern to the recruiter about the credit check. Honestly, it’s not great but it’s not terrible. The recruiter told me many times to not sweat it because it the background check was the main thing. And that we could talk through anything on the credit report. Now HR is telling me they may rescind the offer pending review. I’m crushed. What can I do?

How hard is everyone pushing their corporate clients to authorize nonresident assignees whose only 2020 US compensation was the value of their 2019 tax preparation?
My clients are pushing back on it this year, and I can't say I blame them. If I were in their shoes, I'd rather take the risk of not filing than the expense of filing again. If you had 2 mortgages at the exact same interest rate (1 is a 15 year and the other is a 30 year), does it make sense to put extra payments (say 400 per month) towards one or the other? Looking at it purely from a $ perspective in the long term (not psychological where You prepay the lower balance quicker to ultimately have only one loan).

15 year loan - 125k balance (renting this property out)
30 year loan - 400k balance (looking to buy this property soon)

However, I accepted last week a (better) offer at another company (B) and they will start soon my H1-B transfer.
