Hi folks,
I had got an assessment from HSBC . Problem is that the link to the assessment opens to my career page and it is showing 'Access Denied'. There is a mail and a contact no in the same assessment but the mail is showing as invalid and the phone no is less than 10 digits. Whom to approach in this situation? There is no PoC from my side.

This is from a few years ago, but they were trying to get me to come over from Cravath scale for like $275k base when I was getting paid about $325k base as a senior at Cravath scale (for alleged better WLB and partnership prospects).
I think I just asked what the comp range was because comp is key to me personally and I was curious for market info but I just told them I wasn’t looking to move right then (because I wasn’t). I think it’s perfectly fine to ask a few questions about whatever is most important to you personally (e.g., comp, typical billables, typical timeline to partner, practice area focus, why they have an opening) and a good recruiter should be happy to help and have a more long-term mindset even if you’re not currently in the market - they’re typically working with a bunch of firms anyway, so if they learn that you only want Cravath-scale or only interested in “lifestyle” firms etc. they’ll target those for you in the future. Usually I don’t ask anything and just say I’m not looking to move or that I’m only interested in in-house opps.
When the recruiter says put you in touch with a partner that means a screening interview IMO. They don’t really need your resume to get that started, seeing that you’re a 5th year in x practice at y firm is enough for a screener.

I doubt they pay Cravath. I know they have a very strong roster on the corporate side though.
Yea I figure, any insight/educated guess on their comp?
