Throwing this out there. My company was recently acquired and I was laid off yesterday. I’m currently 6m pregnant so looking for a company that isn’t going to have a problem with my giving birth in 3m (looking for a miracle). 13 YOE in Marketing (Brand, Digital, Product, Ops). You name it, I’ve probably done it. Team management exp but not required in next role. Just looking for 100% remote, flexibility, and company that puts families first and won’t give me a hard time about doctor appts 🙏🏻

I was informed today that my employment would be terminated at a tier-2 consulting firm in Toronto. The reasons for my dismissal are unclear and I would like to get legal advice on the termination agreement and severance package that was offered. At what point does the value of a degree fall off? I'm in my early 30s, and have five years of experience, and work on a very theoretically interesting project. I believe I'm on track to promotion in the next year. So, I could put in a year of full time school to check the box off, but I'd be sacrificing hobbies and social life (not to mention cost). Help - how do I fight claims by scammer healthcare providers?

I recently went to 2 different providers.

Dentist, made appt via Zocdoc to see a dentist that was in network. Another dentist at the location saw me instead who was out of network. I have text evidence they said it would be covered before visit. Claim was denied - asking for ~500 dollars.

Saw a specialist who’s office staff verified my insurance would fully cover the claim. Get the claim, says they are out of network. Owe 600.

Why do commercial folks hate on the federal folks so much?
