I haven't but if you're an at will employee you have the right to just dip just as much as the company has the right to lay you off right after hiring you. Don't feel bad for doing something that companies wouldn't hesitate to do to you

At will is at will. Agree with CC1. The worst is just burning bridges with one company so if the reward is worth it then why not.
Yeah I have no relationships with the company and I don’t see how any bridges could be burned but obviously I’m cognizant of that. My initial start date with the former company is 3/23 so I have time.
Do what’s right for you and your family, career wise and income wise. The big firms and companies won’t bat an eyelash before sacking anyone. Being in the labour space, I’ve seen companies not hesitate to make someone redundant less than 6 months after joining, for roles that they knew might not exist at the time of joining and gave no heads up to the individual, who they poached away from a stable job.
It’s par for the course now for the company, have seen people take sign on bonuses and just ghost during start day, or cleverly “join” for less than a week, keep the sign on bonus and then quit with no notice.
If you are giving them a nearly 3 week heads up, seems plenty.
You should do it to open the role up for backup candidates. I’m sure they have plenty lined up given the oversaturated market.
